The time-series continues in the table SW110: State pension insurance, 1 January. Interruption of the time-series has been caused by large-scale changes in legislation.
Since 1992 pension is paid in kroons, up to 1992 it was paid in roubles.
In calculations, revised population numbers for the years between 1989 and 2000 population censuses have been used.
The data on persons who were granted pension in the reference year for 1992 have been revised on 24.11.2011.

* During the Soviet period workers and employees received state pension pursuant to the State Pension Act (also agricultural workers of state farms). Members of kolkhoz started to receive pension pursuant to the Kolkhoz Pension Act since 1994.
